Nation-wide Broadband Access

ethernetlights2

President Barack Obama has just signed the $317.2 billion economic stimulus bill into law, saying that “it is the beginning of the end” of our harsh economic times. Part of this bill includes $7.2 billion that will be spent on a “broadband grant and loans program” which will ensure that all Americans have broadband access to what has recently become a vital resource for communication and education in modern America. 65.3% ($4.7 billion) will be used for Commerce Department run programs, while the rest of the funds will be used for programs run by the Agriculture Department. This obviously means that there is more of an emphasis on rural America getting broadband access.

Those Americans that live in areas where there is limited or no broadband options will greatly benefit from this stimulus package. However, they are not the only beneficiaries. The bill will also create jobs in the areas that it serves. Ethernet cable manufacturers will be getting much larger orders from Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and cable companies. These ISPs and companies will then need to send qualified employees out to run their cables to the customers that they serve. They will also need more sales representitives to get people to purchase the new service. That is just a few of the jobs that will be create by this legislation.

As for when this will all be done, President Obama wants these funds to be distributed by September 30, 2010 to projects that can be completed within a couple years. This means that by the end of his first term, at least 85% of Americans, if not more, should have broadband internet access. If all goes well, the bill may also make dial-up access obsolete. Here’s hoping!

President Barack Obama promised us that there is hope for America, and that change will come. I think that this bill is the initial delivery of that change.

Punishment For Those Damn Racists!

Wow. Just WOW! Those f’n racist Nazi pricks just don’t hold back, do they? They apparently don’t give any type of a damn about any of the real issues that are plaguing our country right. Instead, they’d rather pick the next President of the free world based solely on the color of his skin. One lady in the video seriously believes that America is a Christian nation and thinks its wrong that Obama is even running since he’s Muslim. WTF?!! Since when has America been based solely on one ideal? The America I know and love is a proud multi-cultural nation. As Americans, we have the right to freedom of religion. I wish people like this would grow up. Electing Barack Obama as our President would prove to the rest of the world that we as a nation have matured and that racism is a thing of the past. Unfortunately, these people are stuck in a 19th century way of thinking. Knowing that people like this live in our country, I am truly embarrassed to say that I am an American. I am a man who likes to see the best in people. Unfortunately, there really is no good side to racists. It’s all bad. Living in California, I don’t encounter racists in my everyday life, which is why seeing stuff like this is kind of a shock to me. What’s even worse is knowing that these ignorant people actually have the chance to ruin our country. The people in the above video are seen attending a Sarah Palin rally. If those people would just take the time to THINK a little, they would realize how HORRIBLY unqualified she is to be anywhere near the White House.Apart from that, there have been numerous people at various McCain/Palin rallies that have been yelling stuff like “Kill Him!” and “Off With His Head!” directed obviously at Obama. Seriously America, WTF? Is any of that really necessary? What do these people hope to gain by doing that?

Fortunately, Barack Obama has not let any of this EPICLY blatant racism get to him at all. During his entire campaign, Obama has portrayed himself as the cooler, more level headed nominee. He is the one who is speaking about the issues, not Palin or even McCain. The GOP ticket has dedicated their entire campaign, or what’s left of it, to Obama bashing.

As a voter myself, I obviously support Barack Obama for President. However, I do not hate all McCain supporters. I think that they see something in him that I just don’t. As long as people make their voting decision based on facts that relate to the country as a whole, I’m fine with it. What I don’t like seeing is people who would not vote for someone based on religion, skin color, and the like. Americans need to have an open mind when going to the polls on Nov. 4, and not screw over an entire country just because they don’t have they’re facts straight.

Sarah Palin’s Witch Hunting Pastor

Wow, this just wreaks of ULTIMATE EPIC FAIL on the part of the media. After the whole Rev. Wright fiasco, you would think that more members of the “liberal” media would pick up on the fact that Sarah Palin belonged to and endorsed a witch hunting pastor. Keith Olbermann poses a very interesting question. What if it was Obama that was linked to this pastor? Like they did with Rev. Wright, the media would be ALL over it. Because of that, Obama’s political career would be in danger. So what gives? If the media wants to be biased and ignore this important story, then we as Americans MUST get the word out about it ourselves. I seriously want to see what will happen when more voters find out about this little secret which the McCain/Palin campaign has been hiding.

Americans Are Stupid…Literally! Time for Punishment!

I just read an amazing article on the Eyes On Obama blog about how the McCain campaign is advertising “anti-intellectualism.” According to the article, Charles Murray believes that, “The last thing we need are more pointy-headed intellectuals running the government.” WTF?!! That statement makes absolutely no sense to me. Is he saying that what we do need running the government are stupid people who are incapable of making a rational decision? I guess that’s why so many people voted for Bush in 2000, rather than Gore who was just too smart for them. Gore couldn’t have run the government, because he would’ve done what American people don’t want, and that’s helping them make their country better. I mean, what’s he done since then that’s so great? He’s only won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work on environmentalism. What’s Bush done since then? He get big ups for turning a huge governmental surplus into a trillion dollar deficit. You can also congratulate him for creating an economy with higher food and gas prices than before his administration.

Monkey see monkey do, right? American voters saw Bush as being stupid like them, so that’s why they voted for a C student in 2000 and 2004, and will do the same in 2008 when they vote for McCain, who graduated at the bottom of his naval academy. Oh, and I don’t see why people have to automatically respect McCain for being a POW. POW’s are soldiers who are STUPID enough to get caught, and they endure PUNISHMENT because of their EPIC STUPIDNESS. By respecting McCain, people are screaming out loud, “Good Job on being STUPID!”

Election 08: Where We Stand

As you can see in the above charts, many American voters are finally coming to their senses and seeing their world as it is. They now realize that it is the GOP who is to blame for our current economic crisis, and that Barack Obama would have better judgement during these shaky times. While things may be looking good for the Democrats right now, this is an election where the tides could turn at any moment. All voters should keep in mind the fact that during times like these, we need a President with a strong economic background. That person is Barack Obama. Anyone who believes that McCain will do anything but worsen our economy is dead wrong. As you’ll see in the folowing video, McCain admits that he is not an expert on the economy.

With this in mind, the 2008 Presidential Election comes down to just one major decision. Do we want to elect a President who has the knowledge and skills to revive our ailing economy? Or do we want to elect a President who will continue funding war after war? That is our decision America. I seriously hope we make the right choice.

Palin Proves She Doesn’t Have Foreign Policy Experience!

At her first town-hall meeting where she answered questions directly from the public, Sarah Palin simply could not provide a direct answer to a question about her foreign policy experience. Usually when she’s questioned on this topic, she replies with some complete BS about being able to see Russia from where she lives or something. In the above video clip, at around the 1:25 mark, you’ll see her response to this question, in which she touts that McCain and her will be prepared and ready to be President and Vice President on January 20. This, instead of giving any specifics about any type of foreign policy experience she may have. Since she could not provide a decent answer to a question regarding her foreign policy experience, she obviously does not have any to speak of. I hope her supporters realize this now and act accordingly.

The Biggest Flip-Flopper of Our Time

If you haven’t realized it yet, McCain is running a major flip-flopping campaign. It seems as though he simply cannot keep from contradicting himself. His latest bail-out centers on the taxpayers bail out of AIG. The night before this happened, he stated on NBC Today Show that, “we cannot have the taxpayers bail out AIG or anybody else.” The next day millions of people woke up to realize that they now owned a major financial organization. McCain then stated in a interview on ABC that he actually supported the government decision to force taxpayers to bail out the collapsing company. Unfortunately, this is just the latest in a long line of McCain’s flip-flops.

It scares me that 43% of the voters in this country can actually support him, knowing that he himself does not seem to know where he stands on the issues. One minute he’s for something, the next he’s against it. How can a man like this run our country? He won’t fix anything, he’ll only make it worse than it already is.

Punishing the GOP

Those of you that know me on Facebook should have noticed that I have recently been spamming the social networking site with anti-McCain propaganda. Normailly I would not do such a thing. I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and I do not usually bother people with my extreme views. However, the American people are in need of some serious guidance (read: punishment) right now. Last week, before the Democratic National Convention, the latest polls said that 49% of Americans believed that McCain would be a better manager of the economy than Obama, even though McCain has said that he is not knowledgeable about the economy. Does this not reek of ULTIMATE EPIC FAIL?! WTF America? Can someone explain to me how this happened? If McCain is our next President he will continue funding the War in Iraq as long as he can, even though our economy is suffering right now. That’s like buying an expensive new car when your debt. It just doesn’t make sense!
